INDIAN PATENT STATISTICS

A total of 1,373 patent applications were published in the 12th issue of the Patent Journal, 2022. Of the 1,373 applications published in the journal, 328 applications represent early publications while 1,045 applications represent ordinary publications or later publications to 18 – month period. A total of 584 applications were awarded last week compared to 500 grants the week before last marking an increase of around 16.8%

The total entries from each of the previously mentioned cities are as follows – 21 entries from Delhi, 40 entries from Mumbai, 20 entries from Pune, 89 entries from Bangalore, 58 entries from Chennai, 25 entries from Hyderabad and 3 entries from Kolkata.
