This week’s patent and design data has been compiled from the Official Patent and Design Journal, published by the patent office on April 29, 2022. These statistics are brought to you by lawyers in patents and experts from BananaIP Counsels, the Indian leader in intellectual property. Solidify.


A total of 1,016 patent applications were published in the 17th issue of the Patent Journal, 2022. Of the 1,016 applications published in the journal, 313 applications represent early publications while 703 applications represent ordinary publications or later publications. 18 – month period. A total of 567 applications were awarded last week compared to 420 grants the week before last marking an increase of around 35%

The total entries from each of the previously mentioned cities are as follows – 33 entries from Delhi, 33 entries from Mumbai, 31 entries from Pune, 42 entries from Bangalore, 34 entries from Chennai, 20 entries from Hyderabad and 3 entries from Kolkata.
