The JPS Foundation invites qualified schools to apply for the third year of the CSEC Industrial Technology (Electrical) Exam Fellowship.
Applications are now open and closed on November 2, 2018.
In a statement, the JPS Foundation said the initiative supports the national education goal of making a skills-based course compulsory for all high school students from the 2016-2017 school year. The JPS Foundation will pay the CSEC exam fees associated with Industrial (Electrical) Technology, formerly Electrical and Electronic Technology, for another year.
According to Winsome Callum, director, corporate communications and customer experience, this initiative will allow eligible high school students to attend at least one competency-based subject at the CSEC level for free and will facilitate the increase in student numbers. leave the secondary education system with a certification in a subject based on practical skills each school year.
