DIU to host conference on “Managing Industrial Technological Innovation for Sustainable Economic Development in Bangladesh”

Daffodil International University (DIU) is preparing to host a national virtual conference on “Managing Industrial Technological Innovation for Sustainable Economic Development in Bangladesh” on September 25, 2021. The inaugural session followed by a plenary session of the conference will be held live from 5 pm on the official DIU Facebook page and Campus TV, with Zoom. The American Chamber of Commerce in Bangladesh (AmCham), the Bangladesh Association of Call Centers and Outsourcing (BACCO) and Skill.jobs are the co-organizing organizations of the event.
Professor Dr M Nawaz Sharif, International Technology Management Consultant, will present an article on ‘Background Paper’ at the conference. Professor Sharif is a former director of the Asia-Pacific Center for Technology Transfer at UN-ESCAP, vice president of academic affairs at the Asian Institute of Technology, director of the doctoral program at the University of Maryland University College, Assistant Professor at Johns Hopkins University and Professor at George Washington University.
MA Mannan, MP, Honorable Minister, Ministry of Planning, Government of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh will honor the inaugural ceremony as the guest of honor. Professor Dr Md Sazzad Hossain, member of the UGC, will be present as a special guest. Syed Ershad Ahmed, President, AmChem and Wahid Sharif, President, Bangladesh Association Call Center and Outsourcing (BACCO), will also be present as special guest.
Dr Md Sabur Khan, Honorable Chairman of the Board, DIU, will chair the inaugural session. Professor Dr M Lutfar Rahman, Vice-Chancellor of DIU and Mohammad Nuruzzaman, Group CEO, Daffodil Family, will chair the inaugural and plenary sessions respectively as advisor and organizer of the event.
Over 150 registered participants representing various sectors will attend the conference.
