A major strategic report on the cloud industry co-authored by Leaseweb will guide the investment priorities of the European Commission

The roadmap, co-authored by 27 leading organizations in the European cloud industry and recently presented to European Commissioner Thierry Breton, details strategic investment priorities and recommendations to accelerate the development and adoption of a competitive, secure, reliable and climate neutral cloud and edge. services throughout the EU.

The roadmap highlights three main pillars of investment:

Europe is already a big consumer of cloud computing technologies. Currently, 36% of businesses on the continent use cloud services, representing around 54 billion in direct cloud spending in the EU in the last year alone.
