A nod to industrial design | West Australian
With an air of elegance and sophistication, The Mando by Commodore Homes is the epitome of relaxed and functional living.
Expressing an elegant design, the house is inspired by its namesake location.
Commodore Homes Managing Director Jared Stone said The Mando was a home heavily inspired by the industrial design and earthy, earthy tones of the Apsley Estate in Mandogalup.
“We went for an industrial style for The Mando,” he said.
“This style maximizes space and light, creating a feeling of openness throughout the house.
Minimalist and raw materials are complemented by soft fabrics to make this traditional style a warm, inviting and welcoming space.
Benefiting from a wide entrance, a characteristic brick wall is juxtaposed with the neutral tones of gray and white of the crenellated cladding of the elevation.
Large windows extend out onto the porch, inviting a coastal atmosphere.
“The Mando’s front elevation is a contemporary design with an industrial twist,” Mr. Stone said. “We used Brikmakers’ Roman brick and BGC Innova Stratum siding to create a textured contrast. “
As you enter the house, an accessory accommodation is positioned on the right, served by a bathroom and a spacious dressing room.
“Auxiliary accommodation is the house’s most notable feature, including a retreat area, kitchenette and bathroom,” said Mr. Stone.
“There is so much potential here with floor space for customers. Some will use the space to generate a second income, as a home working space, an escape for teens or for older children still living at home.
The four bedrooms are uniquely positioned at the front of the house, maximizing the entertainment potential at the rear of the property.
Each bedroom is furnished with modern teardrop-shaped light fixtures, adding the perfect industrial accent to the minimalist white walls.
The master suite is tucked away from the hustle and bustle of the entertainment space, featuring an expansive walk-in robe and indulgent bathroom.
Further into the house and overlooking the living and dining room, the kitchen is easily the centerpiece of the home, with a large breakfast bar, matte black finishes, and quality appliances.
“The well-equipped kitchen is complete with Essastone worktops, premium 900mm and 600mm Fisher & Paykel appliances and the added benefit of a scullery,” said Stone, adding that The Mando was designed to be an artist’s dream.
“The open plan living room is perfect for accommodating a crowd, and the inclusion of a game room and family theater is perfect for movie night.”
Boasting an impeccable interior design, Mr Stone said everything about the house has been carefully considered.
“The blue and mustard hues are complemented by black fixture finishes, which all come together in the kitchen – the heart of the home,” he said.
“The interior of the house is light and bright to create an open atmosphere. Subtle references to industrial style have been worn throughout, ready for owners to personalize their own touches.
“This is the perfect home for growing couples and families, with the flow of the floor plan ticking every box. “
The Mando is open for visits on Wednesdays from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturdays and Sundays from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m.
